Presentation
Magician shows off his new watch that he just bought at auction. It is Houdini's original pocket watch. He opens it up and shows the insides and turns the stem to show that the hands can be moved. He then holds the cover closed with his thumb and turns the stem several times and re-opens the watch to show a new time setting. He points out on his phone that he still has the original auction listing for the Houdini Watch Lot #256. He asks for a spectator from the audience who has an iPhone or an iPad and text messages him the original auction listing. The spectator then uses his fingers to expand the pictures on his device so that only Harry and Beth are in the image.  The device is then covered with a spirit slate.  Magician then calls on the spirits of Houdini and Beth to come forward. The spectator then holds the watch cover closed over the slate and turns the stem several times. The watch is opened to reveal a new random time. The slate is removed, but it is blank on both sides? The picture is slid over with the spectator's finger to bring the watch into view and surprisingly the watch image matches the time on the watch. The pad is then covered with the slate once again and the magician calls on the spirits of Houdini and his wife Beth to select a time that was important to them. The spectator then again holds the watch over the slate, closes the cover, and turns the stem several times. This time when the slate is removed, we are amazed to see that the chosen time is 1:26, the exact time Harry Houdini died! The watch is then opened to reveal that the time randomly set by the spectator on the watch is also exactly 1:26! The spirits have spoken.
